Costs and considerations
Common fictional fee assumptions: underlying management 2.00% annually; carry 20% of eligible profits under a waterfall; feeder administration 0.20% and audit/legal 0.15% of commitments annually; platform on a proposed sliding scale of 0.25% to HKD 1 million, 0.20% to HKD 5 million and 0.15% above, each portion at its own rate. These are learning assumptions, not this manager’s prices.
Additional illustration: HKD 500 establishment allocation per investor, HKD 100 annual banking/custody allocation and 0.35% conversion cost on the assumed HKD-equivalent paid-in amount converted once. Taxes and exceptional expenses are unquantified. Carry cannot be calculated without profit and waterfall assumptions; no performance is modelled.
Underlying management fees and carry, feeder formation, administration, audit, legal, platform and FX charges must be assessed separately. No approved fee schedule exists for this fictional strategy.
- Loss of some or all capital; concentration, leverage, manager and underlying-business risks.
- Long holding periods, uncertain exits, restricted transfers and extensions beyond the stated term.
- USD/EUR exposure remains when amounts are displayed in HKD; rates, spreads and source-currency accounting need separate records.
- Feeder costs reduce investor outcomes; delayed or estimated valuations are not current cash or guaranteed redemption values.
- Every entity and offering would require separate permissions and eligibility review. General PI status would not imply suitability or access to every feeder.
Private equity is illiquid, may require capital calls over time and can lose all invested capital. No returns or valuations are represented.
